Accommodation and Facilities
Most participants will be housed at the EMFCSC. Some participants may also be lodged in local hotels. Young participants may be kindly requested to share rooms.
There is a “coffee room” in the I.I. Rabi Institute (in the back of the courtyard on the right‑hand side under the staircase) where coffee, tea, mineral water, and snacks are available (free) at any time. This “coffee room” is also used for breakfast.
There is a “piano room” (the small central room under the arches at the back of the courtyard at the I.I. Rabi Institute) with a keg of Marsala wine (free). This “piano room” can also be used for working parties. The “piano room” must be closed before midnight.
The Centre has two washing machines and two dryers for use by the participants (at the rear of the courtyard at the I.I. Rabi Institute).
The computer room is located on the left‑hand side of the I.I. Rabi courtyard.
Accompanying persons. Rooms in Erice are limited. For this reason, persons accompanying accepted applicants are in general considered as regular participants with the same benefits and duties: they are requested to pay a full fee and to wear the EMCSC badge. A limited number of accompanying persons at reduced daily rate will be allowed, depending on room availability.
Cost. Participants are expected to stay for the entire duration of the workshop (5 nights). The Center charges participants at a fixed rate of Euro 120/night. Accompanying people sharing a room with participants Euro 60/night. This fee covers all local expenses (ground transportation, accommodation, meals, coffee breaks, excursion, and social dinner)
